Pilot Episode

In our pilot episode of the Harvard Veterans Alumni Organization podcast, we sit down with Melanie Boling who is an Extreme Environments Research Scientist, Documentary Photojournalist, and the Deputy Director of Communications at HVAO. Melanie is an Air Force Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran currently pursuing Graduate Certificates in Human Behavior specializing in Neuropsychology and Biology specializing in Neurophysiology at the Harvard Extension School.

In our conversation, we discuss Melanie's military career, her transition to civilian life, and how she's been able to apply her military experience to her current role at HVAO. We also talk about the challenges and opportunities of being a veteran student at Harvard, and how the Harvard Veterans Alumni Organization has supported Melanie and other veteran students throughout their academic journey.
